About

Carla McDow

Welcome to my practice, my name is Carla McDow, my pronouns are she, her, hers. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I have been licensed in the state of New York since 2013.

I believe my clients are the experts in their lives. I see myself as a facilitator of conversations that lead my clients to new perspectives. I see therapy as an opportunity to take control on one's problems and as an opportunity to become the prefer version of oneself.  My hope is to provide you with the tools and perspective to know that even when you FEEL there is nothing but darkness, loneliness and hopelessness, you KNOW you possess the power to strive for, obtain and maintain serenity through it all.

I have experience conducting therapy with adults, couples and families. I have been a therapist at schools, at a community clinic and in private practice. In addition to being a therapist I am a positive discipline educator and I have been a clinical supervisor to therapists in training.

It will be an honor to listen to your story and support your journey. Thanks for visiting my website.
